Florida Development Recruitment Focus

The following is compiled to give our current and potential Real Estate Development Partners a glimpse and snapshot into a high level overview of some of the steps we take prior to clients being presented for their interview & selection.

  1. Review resumes and cover letters: This step is to assess the candidate's qualifications and experience to ensure they meet the requirement for the job opening, such as experience in real estate development, financing, construction management and knowledge of local zoning and building codes.
  2. Verify the candidate's education and professional certifications: This step is to ensure that the candidate has the necessary education and certifications required for the job, such as a degree in real estate development, architecture or construction management and professional licenses in the real estate industry.
  3. Contact past employers and references: This step is to obtain information about the candidate's work history and performance from past employers and references to get a better understanding of the candidate's qualifications and work ethic in the real estate development industry.
  4. Check for any criminal records or relevant legal issues: This step is to ensure that the candidate does not have any criminal records or legal issues that would disqualify them from the job or pose a potential liability to the company or its clients.
  5. Assess the candidate's skills and qualifications: This step is to evaluate the candidate's skills and qualifications through pre-interview assessments or tests to ensure that they have the necessary skills and qualifications for the job, such as experience in project management, budgeting, and feasibility analysis.
  6. Assess the candidate's proficiency in commonly used real estate development applications and software: This step is to evaluate the candidate's proficiency in commonly used software and applications in the real estate development industry such as CAD, BIM, project management software, financial analysis software, and GIS. This will help to ensure that the candidate is able to effectively use these tools to aid in the development process.
  7. Schedule an initial interview: This step is to further evaluate the candidate's qualifications and to get a better sense of their personality and fit for the job through an initial phone or in-person interview, focusing on the candidate's experience, approach and understanding of the real estate development industry.
  8. Review any additional materials: This step is to review any additional materials provided by the candidate, such as a portfolio of completed projects or development plans, to get a better understanding of their qualifications and experience in the real estate development industry.
  9. Compare the candidate's qualifications and experience against the client's requirements: This step is to ensure that the candidate's qualifications and experience match the client's requirements for the job, such as specific experience in a certain type of development or knowledge of a specific local market.
  10. Present the best-suited candidates to the client for final interviews: This step is to present the best-suited candidates to the client for final interviews after all steps have been completed to ensure a good match for the job, taking into account the client's specific needs and requirements.
